PALM BEACH- This past Saturday, March 26, Westin Aruba Resort & Casino, Aruba joined millions around the world to send a powerful message about a brighter future for the planet.
Westin Resort & Casino, Aruba turned off its lights in observance of Earth Hour, the global environmental awareness event created by the World Wildlife Fund (WWF).
The Westin Resort & Casino, Aruba also shared other energy-saving measures during Earth Hour by turning off exterior signage lighting; dimming or turning off non-essential interior lighting; using candlelight in appropriate public areas such as restaurants and bars; and using in-room voicemail messages and in-room television messages to inform guests about Earth Hour observances.
The resort's associates put together a festive poolside event, encouraging guests to join in and enjoy an unplugged steel pan band, fireside story telling for kids, marshmallow roasting, Star Gazing through the resort's state-of-the-art telescopes, healthy snacks, and organic cocktail drink specials concocted by the resort's bartending team.
