PALM BEACH - The bedding renaissance in the hotel industry can be traced back to Westin's introduction of its Heavenly BedR in 1999. Business travelers flocked to the nearest Westin, where accommodations were reprioritized in order to meet the customer's primary need-the best sleeping experience possible.
Guests were so impressed with the Heavenly BedR experience that they began to inquire how they could purchase Westin bedding for their homes. Since then, every major brand hotel, as well as many boutique hotels, have followed suit to offer their travelers the ultimate night's sleep. This past Thursday evening, the staff at The Westin Resort, Aruba took time to acknowledge this milestone-and had a pajama party to mark it!
Donning the resort's plush robes, management and staff greeted guests with the Tio Acram Turismo group from Brazil as they arrived from their charter flight for a late-evening check-in. Some of the guests had fun with the staff and got a taste of the heavenly relaxation they will enjoy over the next few days as they posed for pictures on one of the beds that is on display in the resort's Starwood Art Gallery.
The secret of the Westin's Heavenly BedR is "ten layers of luxury." A pillow-top mattress serves as a top-notch foundation, while an inviting down blanket, three crisp sheets ranging in thread-count from 180 to 250, a comforter, duvet, and five plush pillows-all in white-complete the ensemble.
