PALM BEACH – Earlier this week, World Tourism Day was marked on the island during a special conference and cocktail party hosted by the Westin Resort & Casino, Aruba.
The global celebration was marked here on the island with a presentation by The Ministry of Tourism, Transportation & Labor and the Aruba Tourism Authority, sharing the vision, policy, and plans for 2012 for Aruba's continued tourism growth and prosperity.
Keynote speakers included Minster of Tourism, Transportation & Labor Otmar Oduber, CEO of the Aruba Tourism Authority Ronella Tjin Asjoe-Croes, and guest speaker Joachim de Posada, co-author of “Don’t Eat the Marshmallow…Yet!”
In attendance were island tourism industry stakeholders, executives, and dignitaries who enjoyed a bit of business networking and socializing during a cocktail party that followed the presentations.
