Eagle Beach – The new General Manager of La Cabana All Suite Beach Resort is no stranger of Aruba.
Joe Najjar, a Switzerland hotel management school graduate, spent a number of years in the 90s working as the creative Director of Food & Beverage at the Radisson Aruba, prior to its transformation, and later devoted all of his energy and drive to that same busy department at the Wyndham Aruba Resort, Spa & Casino.
His success at the Wyndham Aruba propelled his career within the international chain and Najjar left the island for a promotion as General Manager of the Wyndham’s Peaks Resort and Golden Door Spa in Telluride Colorado.
Having restructured the Food & Beverage operation there and achieved an AAA four diamond award, he was offered a top management position on Vieques, Puerto Rico, at the Wyndham Martineau Bay Resort & Spa, which thanks to his diligence, was ranked #1 in unbiased Medallia for the Caribbean Division in 2005.
When the position at La Cabana All Suite Beach Resort became available Najjar answered the call, and decided to come back to his favorite island. “I could not stay away,” he says, “I had to return and what better property than La Cabana All Suite Beach Resort,” he adds.
Najjar reports being absolutely enchanted by his employees and colleagues and by the enthusiasm-filled spirit of the resort. While it is presently going through a separation process from its sister property, the Grand Villas, the change reports Najjar is on paper, his goal is to continue to operate symbiotically, as excellent neighbors, sharing one fabulous beach on One Happy Island.
