The Mill Resort gears up for room opening after renovations

In September with hurricane Ivan dumping unexpected quantities of rainwater on the island, the Mill Resort located just below the high rise hotels on Palm Beach, suffered severe flooding damage. "The hotel," says General Manager Glyn Morgan "was immediately evacuated and consequently closed for two weeks. The staff performed miracles, working hard, day and night, and at the end of fourteen intense housekeeping days the property re-opened with just one hundred upper floor rooms available for occupancy," Morgan adds.

"Over the past few months, the water-damaged first floor rooms have been renovated and are now almost ready to be revealed to the public," says Director of Sales and Marketing Marvel Vilchez. With attractive new furnishings, fresh drapes and bed spreads, the resort is coming on line, hoping to reach its pre-hurricane level of business, within a few weeks.

"We completely renovated 50% of the resort including all electric installations in addition to door and floor modifications. We also revamped the rest, which presents a considerable investment on the part of our owners," states Morgan who intends to orchestrate a big introduction once all work in complete.

With rates as low as $95 and as high as $375, the Mill Resort allows guests a great measure of flexibility. It is a friendly resort which prides itself on comfortable over size rooms, and a tropical pool area. The Garden Café a hub of good food and congenial service, attracts both locals and visitors who also love the swinging Bang Gozza Pool Bar. Intermezzo Spa, with Steam Room and Fitness Center as well as lit tennis courts nicely contribute to guests' experiences at the resort which also serves the most appetizing Aruban BBQ every Wednesday night.
