The Fabulous Seven celebrated at Salamander Holdings

Salamander Holdings N.V. celebrated personal and business milestones at an elegant evening at Marina Pirata as it recognized the Fabulous Seven, seven of its longest-employed colleagues. The evening was laced with genuine emotion as Anchie Malberg, Alma Tagords, Angelica Polo, Julie Partosemito, Lientje Thomas, Judella Vos and Virgie Mapatac shared how they found their way to Salamander Holdings. They each expressed joy at being found, beinggiven an opportunity for personal and professional growth, in addition tofinancial stability.

By planning this evening to celebrate these Seven Wonderful Women, Salamander Holdings acknowledged their many contributions to the company success story. Initially launched with the opening of the Mill Resort MiniMarket in 1994, Salamander Holdings pushed on to become one of the island's leading retailers with a flair for selling the imaginative in a fun and inviting atmosphere. In addition to that first store, today, the company is the proud owner/operator of The Lazy Lizard on de Palm Pier, The Coconut Trading Company, at the Marriott Ocean Club, The Juggling Fish with locations at the Aruba Beach Club, the Playa Linda boardwalk and outside the Mill Resort. They recently launched its newest concept, T.H. Palm & Company, merchandized and decorated like no other store on the island, located on the Palm Beach, promoting fun island living.

Normally closed on Tuesday evenings, Marina Pirata was gracious enough to open just for this event and served its famous fresh catch of the day with moonlight over the water as the party backdrop.

Jodi Tobman thanked the honorees for their partnership, trust and support. In a clever after-dinner game she took the Fabulous Seven through a series of interesting personal questions, revealing them as courageous, resourceful women, out to not only make a mark on the world and but to also provide a good life for their family members. There were hugs, kisses, laughter and some discreet tears. Jodi's husband and business partner, financial director Irwin Hagedoorn handed out generous envelopes to the Fabulous Seven and told the rest of the Salamander Family there to celebrate the evening that he and Jodi were holding a place for all of them present; to occupy the chairs where the honorees of the evening were sitting, in the years to come. The unforgettable celebration was also attended by Jodi's parents, Fred & Elka Tobman.
