January 2006 - - Eagle Beach, Aruba - - Bucuti Beach Resort’s renown ‘Dream Beach of the World’ was the backdrop for the wedding of Amy Johnston and Drew Patterson from Toronto, Canada.
24 friends and family members traveled to Aruba to witness the wedding with two of their best friends celebrating their honeymoon, having married on New Years Eve. The oceanfront wedding took place on a picturesque area of Bucuti’s deserted 14 acres of powder white sand. After the ceremony, a Champagne toast followed before dinner at the oceanfront Pirates Nest Restaurant.
Drew is the Distribution Control Operator for HydroOne, an Energy Delivery Company and Amy is the IT Project Manager for a major consulting and outsourcing company. The couple “spent months researching Caribbean islands on the Internet” and chose Aruba because of its pristine beaches and welcoming people. “The Bucuti staff has been extremely friendly and made our experience wonderful.” The couple is staying in one of the posh Tara Beach Suites for their honeymoon.
