Simply sweet endings at Aqua Grill

PALM BEACH – It’s no secret that Aqua Grill has solidified its place among the top restaurants on the island of Aruba in just a few short years. Warm, friendly island hospitality, a chic fish house décor, and the island’s freshest seafood flown in daily and caught by local fisherman just off Aruba’s shores are just a few of the reasons that both locals and tourists include the Palm Beach restaurant on their “must-dine” lists.

Heading the helm of the kitchen is multi-award winning international executive chef, Scott Scheurman. Diversifying Aqua Grill’s menu with both classic and contemporary regional specialties, this chef also takes special pride in his passion for all things sweet. Aqua Grill boasts a menu of desserts prepared from scratch daily, and offers a “made just like mom” taste with a simple, yet artful, presentation.

Chef Scott’s “scratch” cheesecake is rustic and simple with a plum compote; his warm apple crisp with ice cream is a crowd favorite; the baked Alaska tips a hat at old school standards; the warm fudge brownie is perhaps the richest brownie you will ever put in your mouth; and the coconut flan and fresh fruit cocktail with Angostura bitters and fresh nutmeg are Caribbean delights.

So be warned, save room for dessert! Aqua Grill also welcomes guests to stop in and wind the evening down with an after-dinner drink in their lounge along with one of Chef’s Scotts dessert indulgences.

Aqua Grill is located next to Amazonia, adjacent to the Hyatt. For reservations call 586-5900.
