Jay Witzel, President Carlson Hospitality Worldwide had the distinct pleasure of informing the Radisson Aruba Resort & Casino that the resort's Employee of the Year, 2004, Harold (Rudy) Maduro, was elected one of two ultimate winners for Carlson Hospitality Worldwide Employees of the Year, outshining nominees from 962 international hotels and resorts.
Rudy and his wife, also a Radisson colleague, will be traveling to Orlando, Florida to be publicly recognized during the company's upcoming business conference in front of 1,000 Carlson executives. The Maduros will also be treated to a mini, all expenses paid vacation visiting the Disney parks in Florida.
The following is what General Manager Jeff Lesker wrote about him in his nomination form: "Rudy possesses many of the same characteristics that form the foundation of the Carlson's unique Hospitality Culture. Too many times when asked to articulate special characteristics of high achieving colleagues do we hear the terms punctual, dependable, reliable etc.; of course they are important in the sense of characteristics; but they are second nature to high achievers. Rudy is gifted with characteristics and talents that go beyond the expected. He is enthusiastic; highly engaged; passionate and has a positive attitude which embodies the spirit of Yes I Can! He puts the needs of his co-workers and most of all of our guests ahead of his own, time and time again!"
