PALM BEACH - The activities department of
The Westin Aruba Resort is currently undergoing training to implement an exciting new concept in resort vacations. Toya Frazer-Ellis, the Director of Fun at The Westin St. John Resort & Villas, spent a few days this week sharing her knowledge and experience with the Discovery Program that was recently launched at nine Westin pilot properties, including her resort on the island of St. John in the U.S. Virgin Islands, as well as properties in Hawaii, Arizona, Florida, and other locations across the U.S.
The new program takes the family vacation experience to an entire new dynamic. Typically, resorts often offer kid's clubs and activities geared toward the under five-year olds.
The Westin will be taking that concept several steps further, implemented a menu of activities geared towards tots, tweens, teens, adults, and seniors; with many of those activities and programs tailored to bring the entire family-no matter the age-together.
The Westin is striving for an "Industry Best" total family experience creating further value for guests, offering "a balance of engaging, unique, memorable and compelling activities for all age groups that is different, better and special."
The Westin Aruba Resort will officially roll out the new Discovery Program in early 2008 and appoint their new Director of Fun. "Director of Fun,".now that is a great job to have! The Westin St. John's Director of Fun, Toya Frazer-Ellis, is pictured here with Yander Lampe from
