Program for the Royal Visit of Dutch Queen has been published

The governor of Aruba has determined the program for the visit of Her Royal Highness Queen Beatrix and His Highness Crown Prince Willem Alexander and Princess Maxima.

The official arrival of the Queen and her party will be Friday 28th of October. The Queen will be formally welcomed to Aruba in front of the Bureau of the Governor on the L.G. Smith Boulevard at 10:00 in the morning. Following the arrival ceremony the Queen will meet with the Governor of Aruba followed by a meeting with the Aruba Parliament and the Council of Ministers. On the afternoon of the 28th of October the royal visitors will be present at a cultural manifestation in the new Li­near Park. Her Royal Highness will witness something of the diversity of our culture. The general public is invited to attend this festive occasion scheduled to take place at 3:00 in the afternoon.The evening program for October 28th will include a closed reception offered by the Governor and his spouse. In this reception the Queen will make acquaintance with different representatives of organizations on Aruba.

On the 29th the Queen will visit the National Arikok Park where she will learn of the history, geology and biodiversity of the island. After her visit to the Park she will visit the Yuwana Morto barrio where she will get an impression of the first phase of the BoBario project being realized in Yuwana Morto. In the afternoon of the 29th of October there will be separate programs for the Queen and Princess Maxima, and a program for Crown Prince Willem Alexander. The Queen and Princess will visit the Fundacion Hende Muhe den Difficultad (Foundation for Women in Trouble) and the Prince will be keynote speaker for the Green Confe­rence to be held in the Renaissance Convention Center.

After these programmed activities, the Royal Dutch Queen and her royal party will bid farewell to Aruba and continue her travels to the other Dutch Kingdom partners in the Caribbean.
