The exhibit ‘O Aruba, nos Baranca tan stima’ is a temporary exhibit, dedicated to a part of our national Anthem and is part of 8 other exhibits of cultural organizations and opened last year due to the celebration of 25 years ‘Satus Aparte’ of our island. Until now this exhibit can be admired in the prestigious Renaissance Mall in walking distance of the Archaeological Museum. For this national holiday the Mall will leave the principal entrances open in order for the public to enter and see this inspiring exhibit.
The Archaeological Museum of Aruba will open it’s doors to the public from 10 am with festive music and typical snacks. The ones interested to get an explanation can join a tour to the Mall from the Museum. The Rancho Foundation will open it’s doors at their location in the Weststraat with the interesting exhibit ‘Rancho’, an ode to the historic neighborhood. An exhibit that was created as the first temporary exhibit of the Archaeological Museum Aruba, now has a permanent life thanks to the Rancho Foundation. The exhibit has been adapted and amplified and is a ‘must’ to see.
The Historic Museum as usual, will celebrate our National holiday with a lovely show between 10 am and 4 pm as well as with a flea market outside and different activities for children. Lovers of typical Aruban food can delight in a wide variety of snacks and meals. Ateliers ’89, in the Dominicanessenstraat ,will open it’s doors to the public in order to admire the creative results of the last workshops hosted by professional artists.
Don't miss this unique opportunity this day to enjoy Aruban creativity from Prehistory through Modern Times. Visit the different cultural, historical and artistic organizations and get inspired to also be creative! Bring your camera, make pictures at every location mentioned and compete with your most creative picture on the Facebook page of the Archaeological Museum: archeo Aruba!
