Located in the heart of Palm Beach is Aruba’s newest shopping plaza soon to host a coveted collection of fine shops, cafes, and restaurants. Designed with a wink at Aruba’s cultural and historical heritage, a refreshingly tropical and open-air shopping experience awaits.Paseo Herencia

True to the signature style of local architects Dan Odouber and Denise Oduber-Louvera, the complex will boast Dutch-style gables, slanted tile roofs, and Spanish decorative columns as well as a 90-foot tall, ornamental bell-tower boasting an eight-foot clock. The ambitious project hosts a parking garage of three decks, a total of 8,500 square meters, accommodating 320 cars.

Under the guise of Konstruktiva, Paseo Herencia is earmarked for a July 2006 opening, but currently is nearly sold out with some 60 crème de la crème retailers, with a lineup that includes well-known, quality local names like Maggy’s, Colombian Emeralds International, Kok Optica, Aruba Aloe, Kenro Jewelers, Javaruba Batik Fashions, and many more.  Chocolate aficionados will flock to Taste of Belgium, while a slue of other eateries have signed on, including the internationally-popular T.G.I. Friday’s, as-of-yet unnamed seafood and steakhouse restaurants, Aruba Joe’s—of Iguana Joe’s and Smokey Joe’s fame, which may also include a microbrewery.

Entertainment venues slated to move in include a jazz club and a six-theatre cinema complex.

The two-story plaza will wrap around a beautiful fountain pool with “waltzing water,” a Las Vegas-style extravagance of water, music, and color exclusively contracted with Paseo Herencia.

Heritage Development Company NV is determined to infuse sports, culture, political and social content, in three different languages—Papiamento, Spanish, and English—to make Paseo Herencia a true reflection of contemporary Aruba, with special organized cultural and entertainment events…it will be the scene to be seen!
