Occidental Grand Aruba celebrates top producers

Palm Beach – A friendly gathering at the Occidental Grand Aruba showroom, celebrated the notable achievements of the resort’s top employees for the second quarter of 2007.

General Manager Miguel Eugéne, Quality Coordinator Lorena Labrador and the just recruited Human Resources Manager Ruthline Tromp shared the honor of awarding top employees with certificates and gifts.

Roli Petit, Accounting, won top honors for April, while Jose Franken, Casino, and Ruthlyne Heward, Front Desk, were the most distinguished employees for May and June.

Tireless Jose Palomino was voted supervisor of the second quarter for going the extra mile at the Accounting department. Edsel Davelaar won a special mention during the second quarter of the year for his stellar performance at the maintenance department.

Employees at the Occidental Grand, explains Eugéne are also rated by guests on an ongoing basis via a system of guest-comment cards.

It gave him great pleasure to introduce the most mentioned employees of the quarter Paola Garcia, Royal Club who landed the first spot as most mentioned for April & May and Malanio Antoquia, from the restaurants, who received much praise from guests in June.

As a special surprise, one of the nominees, Allen Flores, prepared an impromptu performance, entertaining the showroom with his excellent voice.

The congenial afternoon affair was attended by Occidental Grand Aruba department heads and employees. They were joined by Cristina Gonzalez, the Corporate Director of Human Resources. She was proud to also congratulate the long-time employees of 20 years, who were called forward and acknowledged with an elegant ESQ watch, from Little Switzerland, as a token of appreciation for their efforts and commitment to the hospitality industry in Aruba.
