It’s always fun to make plans, but it’s even more fun to see them realized. The changes that were envisioned for Taste of Belgium’s Le Bistro in the Paseo Herencia Mall have come about and they are amazing. The interior of the restaurant has undergone a gutting process so that one finds an attractive bar, small tables and chairs and a bench along the wall, all in true Mediterranean style. The terrace is large and inviting, with a white canopy giving everyone beneath it shade against the sun and shelter against an unexpected rain shower. Of course the menu has changed as well: it is chock-full of delicious choices of tapas, wraps, salads and main entrees, all with a wink to the healthy, yet sumptuous cuisine of Spain, Portugal and France.
Along with former Le Dôme owners Peter Ballière and Werner Vennen, the owners of CILO City Lounge, Papillon, Taste of Belgium and Le Bistro, manager Danny van Haalen is filled with enthusiasm to introduce the new Le Bistro concept to his guests. His plans include a fun wine tasting, a great dinner-and-a movie offer and much more.
One more thing: don’t forget to have a look at the wonderful, supersize photograph of Cassis, a photogenic, ancient fishing port in the Calanque Provençal, the French Riviera. Just one look and you’re there…
