Yes, it is time to check out Le Bistro restaurant in the Paseo Herencia Mall across from the Holiday Inn Resort. The place, already revamped and restyled into a super, Mediterranean-style bistro, is now presenting its brand-new menu, which is chockfull of tasty options. Le Bistro is open for lunch, and besides a wide array of sandwiches there is a pita pocket, a wrap or a reviving cup of soup to choose from. Personal favorites include the steak sandwich, the grouper pill pill and the honey mustard chicken and in the soup department the fish chowder. Lunch is served from noon until 5 pm, so time enough to have a refreshing glass of white wine beforehand and a piping hot cappuccino afterwards.
If you wish to save your appetite for the evening, then there is even more to choose from: the appetizers range from carparccio to tuna tartar, from salade Niçoise to escargots, with a Bistro salad, a Caprese to Caesar salad thrown in as well. The blue and white menu, which reflects the fresh colors of the furniture and canopy, goes on with fish dishes like gambas, fruits de mer, grouper meunière, tuna steak and salmon steak. The meat section includes steak champignon, rib eye, a mixed skewer, a burger and a spaghetti Bolognese; for vegetarians the choices are a zucchini moussaka or a falafel. The dessert menu is something to keep in mind when ordering your main course: you should not leave Le Bistro without having tried the melon sherbet, the almond Dame Blanche, the banana dippers or the chocolate fudge cake, not to speak of the melon yoghurt or apple cake. It is already mouthwatering to read the menu, leave alone to get the desserts served. Just do it and enjoy!
