honeybee_web.jpgThe pageantry of a grand carnival parade, with the stunning costumes, road-pieces and floats, is enhanced even more when you consider the additional cuteness factor: it is made up of cheerful, dancing children, gyrating like professionals. This made the San Nicolas Grand Children’s Parade a delight to behold last Sunday, February 5, a preview of the Oranjestad event coming on Sunday.

Nos Futuro Group was also judged Most Creative and won the culture award for its tribute to the elements that make Aruba, well, Aruba. Their stunning road-piece of Aruban landmarks won 1st place, and the 10th Anniversary of Don Flip took 2nd.  Honey B Girls and the Little Groovers Soda Fountain were declared “Most Luxurious” road-pieces by the judges.

Eight Carnival groups participated in the San Nicolas parade; TOB Carnival Group boasting the largest number and even more will participate this coming Sunday, so if you feel the need to overdose on adorable, don’t miss it!
