Those in the know are making their Sunday mornings special once again, by meeting and greeting at the Champagne Sunday Brunch, recently re-launched by the Radisson Resort, Casino & Spa. Island media was invited to sample and sip the stunning feast presented in the Sunset Grill, under the watchful eye of Executive Chef Kien-Fat Lie-Kwie.

Patrons are greeted by mimosas or a champagne toast, and a seemingly endless array of gourmet treats. Smoked fish, ceviche and a dozen marinated salads adorn the diverse salad bar. The Radisson’s famous seafood chowder is front and center, as well as a tasty assortment of classic breakfast meats and a carving station of baked ham and roast beef.

The omelet station is well staffed, so there is no long wait for your made-to-order eggs or omelets, or choose to have fresh fruits flamed with ice cream, a perfect way to garnish pancakes or French toast. An endless bounty of delicious desserts completes this cornucopia of culinary magic.

Did we deploy too many superlatives? Not really! Local media, who are often invited to sample such fare, had to agree: the brunch was beautifully presented and everything was delectable. The setting of Sunset Grill adds immeasurably to the enjoyment of the meal; whether choosing the terrace for a better view or relaxing in air-conditioned comfort, the vista through the picture windows is a constant reminder one is breakfasting in paradise.

The Champagne Brunch at the Radisson is every Sunday from 11:00AM to 2:00PM, and cost $39.50 for adults, $19.75 for children six to twelve years, and youngsters under five are free.
