BEACH - The Westin Aruba Resort is one of the island’s most popular choices for destination weddings and special events. The Palm Beach resort offers bridal parties and event planners two full-size ballrooms, the island’s largest covered outdoor event venue, the chic al fresco Sirocco Lounge, and beachfront ceremony and event options. But the "x factor" that has reaped a stellar reputation for the catering and banquets department is the people themselves and the personal touch, attention to detail, and care given to each client.
Recently, The Westin Aruba Resort hosted the wedding party of bride Ruth Miller and William Smith for their rehearsal dinner. Father of the groom, Rick Smith, took the time to acknowledge the exceptional service he received, singling out four associates that "went beyond the call of duty".
Pat Donovan, Inge van Roon, Jancis Tromp, and Cyndie were all lauded for making this special event run smoothly and flawlessly. Stated Mr. Smith, "I have set up sales meetings my entire career for up to 300 sales people. What I expect and what I get are sometimes totally different. This was not the case at the Westin. I not only got much more than I expected but the way these services were delivered was a most pleasant surprise. These four employees exceeded our expectations and made our rehearsal dinner the highlight of the week."
