Happy First Birthday to Larimar Spa Aruba

Palm Beach -- Larimar Spa, Radisson Aruba Resort & Casino, celebrated its first birthday last night with an unusual event. Director Bruce Cavan invited his staff of terrific therapists to hang out in bathrobes and slippers in the bamboo relaxation area also serving a bit of bubbly in honor of the occasion.

Larimar Spa, an investment of over 5 million dollars raised the bar on spa treatments on the island. It opened 12 months ago and is now enjoying a steady following of locals and tourists.

Larimar also specializes in bridal parties offering everything from hair to make-up, in addition to body treatments. The spa recently introduced a Happy Hour with reduced rates during lull periods, which are no longer quiet due to the increased serenity-seekers flocking to the gate.

Larimar recently won an important distinction by Spa Finder, the global spa resource, naming it among its top ten facilities in the world.

When the Radisson Aruba Resort & Casino opened the much anticipated 13,000 square foot oceanfront Larimar Spa in November last year, it gave patrons the taste of a world-class spa facility, the first of its kind on the island.

The name Larimar is derived from the aqua-colored healing stones indigenous to the Caribbean, which reminds guests of cool sea waters and warm sunny breezes for which Aruba is known.

The Larimar Spa, at the AAA Four Diamond resort, represents a $5.2 million investment. It is the most comprehensive spa on the island, offering a full menu of services in nine separate treatment rooms, a state-of-the-art Fitness Center facing the sea and a full-service salon.

The Larimar Spa is a stand-alone structure, contemporary in design featuring breakout areas that include a central courtyard and private terraces.

Earth tones are used throughout including natural green, tan and off-white hues for the interior and orange, brown and blue for the exterior. Signature treatments incorporate elements indigenous to Aruba including Local Aloe, Black Beach Stones, Seroe Quarts Crystal and Palmera Rum. The leading spa product lines of Thalgo “La Beaute Marine,” Jamu and Fleur’s are used in services and are available for purchase in the spa boutique.
