A truly unique location to visit while on Aruba during the Holiday season is Maduro's Christmas Village. The Maduro family started off with one Christmas village underneath their Christmas tree which they used to display to family members and friends only. Over the years they kept adding to the Christmas Village and what used to be a family tradition has now grown into a grand piece of art.
Every year Mr. and Mrs. Maduro transform the entire living room of their traditional Aruban home into a magical landscape filled with Christmas villages, lights and decorations. They keep adding hidden surprises and new pieces to the Christmas Village each year. What keeps this couple going is the big smiles and twinkling of the eyes of the visitors they receive.
The grand opening of Maduro's Christmas Village is tonight Saturday, December 10th, 2011starting from 7 pm - 11 pm at Tanki Leendert 235. For a map to Maduro's Christmas Village please see below or ask your tour operator to visit Maduro's Christmas Village.
During the opening ceremony there will be musical entertainment of two popular Christmas bands; which are Los Sobrinitos and Las Unicas. These bands are called "gaita's," one of them consisting solely of youngsters between the ages of 3 - 18 years and the other band is an all ladies bands that will surely get you in the Aruban Christmas Spirit. There will also be beverages and Aruban snacks sold on location.
