Four continents, five wines. That is what the upcoming `Around the World’ wine tasting at Le Bistro Restaurant is focusing on. Vinologist Govert van der Hout of the Arion Wine Company has made a terrific selection of wines from his extensive portfolio which will showcase wines from France, the USA (California) and South America (Chile and Argentina). Of course there will be tapas-sized bites to go with the fine wines, so that the palate can work overtime as the food and wine pairing goes underway. Those in the know as well as novices in the wine tasting scene will surely enjoy the evening of Friday, November 9th.
The first wine poured will be from France: a Bourgogne, Simonnet Febvre Aligote; this excellent Bourgogne will be followed by a wine from Mendoza, Argentina: Bodegas Callia Magna Viognier San Juan. Number three is from Australia: Alice White Merlot from the South East. Chile is the country where number four is coming from: the Undurraga Sibaris Reserva Especial, a Cabernet Sauvignon from the Maipo Valley. Last but not least is an orange Muscat from California: Quady Winery Essencia Orange Muscat.
There will be two sessions of the Around the World adventure at Le Bistro in the Paseo Herencia Mall: one starting at 6.30 pm and one at 8.30. The price is $28.- per person. Reservations should be made at info@lebistro-aruba.com or via 586-1392. Don’t wait too long, as space is limited.
