Expansions of gaming and meeting facilities

The Aruba Marriott Resort & Stellaris Casino has announced its plans for expansion of its current gaming and meeting facilities, adding nearly 16,000 square feet to the resort.

The Stellaris Casino will add an additional 7,000 square feet of gaming space, while the new Ballroom will add nearly 9,000 square feet to the existing meeting facilities. Once completed, the Stellaris Casino will grow to 18,000 square feet, making it the largest casino in Aruba. The additional square footage will include space for 187 state-of-the-art "ticket in, ticket out" slot machines, which offer guests the speed and convenience of coin less operation. When completed, the Casino will feature tables for Blackjack, Roulette, Craps, Let It Ride Poker, Caribbean Stud Poker with Progressive Jackpot, and the wildly popular Three Card Poker. The expanded facilities are scheduled to open in August 2004.

Scheduled to open August 1, 2004, the new ballroom will accommodate up to 560 people for a function and can be divided into four separate meeting spaces. The ballroom will be located on the north end of the property and will also include a rooftop garden. With the additional space, the meeting facilities will grow to approximately 8,500 square feet, allowing the resort to accommodate larger incentive groups. The current Grand Ballroom offers approximately 5,500 square feet of meeting space.

Future renovations include upgrading existing suites and creating a presidential suite that complement the elegant style of the new Ballroom. For additional information or reservations, call the Marriott Resort Desk at 800-223-6388 or visit the website at www.paradisebymarriott.com
