PALM BEACH - The sales and marketing team of the Bluegreen Vacation Club at La Cabana Beach & Racquet Club here on Aruba celebrated a hugely successful 2004 this week during a cocktail party and dinner held at Senor Sanchos restaurant in Palm Beach. A special awards presentation acknowledged the shining stars of last year. Angie Trimon was named Marketing Manager of the Year; Natasha Pieternella-Flanders was 2004's Sales Manager of the Year; Employee of the Year was awarded to Deborah Arrow; Elaine Hernandez was heralded as Marketing Associate of the Year; and Lee Luydens was Sales Associate of the Year.
Members of the Bluegreen team also enjoyed a raffle of prizes that included DVD's, a television, and gift certificates to various island restaurants and activities. During the evening's festivities, Kim Bidgood, senior director of marketing, announced the departure of Orlando-based Sandy Harris, vice president of marketing for Bluegreen's Resort Division, Southern Region.
Sandy has received a promotion to National Vice President of Marketing, and will no longer directly oversee the Aruba Bluegreen Vacation Club Team. Bluegreen Corporation is one of the leading companies engaged in the acquisition, development, marketing, and sale of drive-to timeshare resorts and planned residential and golf communities. Although Bluegreen owns and manages most of their resort properties, here on Aruba the company solely oversees the timeshare/resort vacation sales portion of the operation. La Cabana Beach & Racquet Club marks Bluegreen's first off-shore endeavor, and is one of the most popular resort destinations within the vacation club.
