The last time Aruba had a major poker tournament was in 2009, when the Ultimate Bet held the Aruba Poker Classic. In May 2012 the Players Poker Championship at the Westin Aruba Beach Resort and Casino will bring tournament poker back to Aruba in a big way. There are even talks about possibly a second event being also held this year again in Aruba, depending on the success of the May event and also the general poker schedule. What is definite though is that Aruba will be back on the poker player's map since it is well known that poker players love the events, but even more so when the destination is as attractive as Aruba.
The Players Poker Championship will follow directly on the heels of the World Poker Tour "Battle of the Beach" bootcamp event which is also being held at the Westin Aruba.
