Aruba Marriott Ladies leading the way Internationally

Receiving gifts and plaques.jpgThe Aruba Marriott is proud to announce the promotions of two local talents. Louella Brezovar accepted the position of General Manager for the Curacao Marriott Beach Resort & Emerald Casino in Curacao. Claudia Sanchez has been appointed to General Manager of the Residence Inn San Jose Escazu in Costa Rica.

Louella began her hospitality career in 1988 as Direction of Operations at the Radisson Resort in Aruba before joining the Marriott family in 2006. She started at Marriott as Resident Manager and was promoted to Hotel Manager in 2008. During her tenure with the Aruba Marriott Resort, she has been a key contributor in charge of the resort’s $50 million dollar transformation which included the main lobby, all guest rooms, two restaurants, casino refurbishments, the opening of Tradewinds Club and the adults only pool H2Oasis. Louella brings with her a great deal of experience and talent. She is taking with her an impressive set of leadership skills and an operational background to match.

Claudia started with Marriott at the Resort in 2002 as the Recreation Manager for the Resort and Ocean Club. She has expanded her management skills and hospitality experience in various management positions such as Front Desk Manager, Guest Relations Manager and Assistant Front Office Manager at the Aruba Marriott Resort. She joined the Surf Club team in 2009 as the Assistant Rooms Director. Most recently she served in the position of Director of Rooms Operations. She was the recipient of the Manager of the Year twice and a champion in the Breakthrough Leadership program rolled out by Marriott International. Her willingness to learn, leading others and contribution to the Surf Club excellent guest satisfaction scores are a few of the Claudia talents.
