The Amsterdam Golf 2009 fair recently took place in RAI, Amsterdam, The Nederland’s. The fair counted with over 13,000 visitors, mostly golf lovers who came to see what the different destinations had to offer.
This even is the only one that dedicated itself to the Golf market and other aspects of this sport in Holland.
More than 145 booths representing various vendors selling golf merchandise were present. One aspect of the event this year was the presence of the golf professionals who were there to demonstrate the latest technologies in golf. Destinations present at the fair were Cyprus, Spain, Portugal and others counting Aruba that was represented by Aruba Tourism Authority (ATA) Europe’s Jaap Ellis and Roy Hart.
The event as covered by the different members of the press, among which, “Telegraap Golf Media”. Vendors and destinations had the opportunity to put out information in the media room for all those who were interested.
The AHATA Europe team made use of the opportunity to give all the information available on Aruba and at the same time promoted the Aruba Pro AM Golf Tournament which will take place in August. They also contacted Dutch Golf Trophy representative Ad den Dulk who is interested in organizing and sponsoring a golf tournament replacing the KLM Open in November on Aruba.
During the even ATA Europe raffled great prizes. The first consisting of two tickets to Aruba with stay at the prestigious Divi Village Golf and beach Resort with a round of golf included, transportation with De palm Tours, an island tour and a Sail and Snorkel Trip. The second prize raffled was a stay at Tierra Del Sol with a round of Golf included.
