A group of volunteers started a ‘grass root’ movement to collect funds for Tsunami victims in south-Asia. We are asking you to start your own fund-raising effort within your family and neighborhood. Every florin counts. On Saturday, there will be a collection in the supermarkets and we are asking for volunteers, we need two hours of your time. Call Peter Balliere #730-0288 if you can join us on Saturday.
Then on Wednesday, January 13, Havana Beach Club will host a fund raising event. All those who collected money will be asked to come and present their donation in front of ATV’s program Riba Bao. Radio Magic 96.5 will also be participating live with its Carnival program. The money collected in Aruba will be sent directly to UNICEF, the children’s charity of the United Nations, by a local notary.
Thanks Errol for the nice design. Volunteers will wear tee-shirts by ANLY, as they collect donations.
Commitments have been coming in from employees of Aruba Bank, the members of the Indian Association, the Hyatt Regency which is organizing a car wash on its parking lot on Saturday, the Butterfly Farm and Salamander Holdings. The list of donors is growing. ARUBA HELPS THE TSUNAMI VICTIMS.
