Participants from across the world are putting on their running shoes in preparation for racing season in Aruba.  Runners from neighboring islands and countries, as well as from the United States and Canada, all come to the island for the yearly races.

The first event, the 18th Aruba International Half Marathon (21K), is slated for March 16th. It is Aruba's longest road race beginning at 6:30 a.m. in San Nicolas and ending at the Alhambra Casino parking lot. Registration for this race began on February 1st. The next race will be held on April 30th. The 43rd RBTT International Boulevard Race (10K) is the biggest 10K

Aruba's racing season will come to an end on June 30th with the island's final event, Aruba's 18th International Triathlon. This international event brings out 125 athletes to compete in a 1.5km swim, 40 km bike race and 10km run. This race is organized by the Aruba Triathlon Association and is the ultimate test in athletic ability. All of the races are open to the public. In fact, a lot of people visiting Aruba sign-up for the races as part of their vacation. Prizes include cash and trophies for the first three winners for each category.
