SAN NICOLAS – The Aruba Caiso and Soca Monarch 2014 finals took place on Saturday in the Carnival Village in San Nicolas. A total of 35 finalists participated accompanied by 14 bands. In the wee hours of yesterday, about 4 a.m. the winners were picked: Soca King – Claudius Phillips ( Mighty Talent) with his soca Carnaval Cheezy, and Casio King – Shawn Phillips (Mighty Talent Jr) with his casio: Palo.

In the Soca category:
5th place: Dr. Boa – The Failures
4th place: Blacky – Le Groove
3rd place: Lady Mezzo – Oreo
2nd place: T-Money – Le Groove
1st place: Mighty Talent – Oreo
In the Caiso category:
5th place: Lady Mezzo – Oreo
4th place: Mighty Tattoo – Zeta Band
3rd place: The Commissioner – XC Lanz Band
2nd place: King Jeon – Upgrade Music
1st place: Mighty Talent Jr – Oreo
