PALM BEACH - Recently, an extravagant week of wedding events were held at the Westin Resort, Aruba for prominent entrepreneur Stephan Nathusius, from Guatemala, and recognized architect Denisse Levy, from Venezuela. The couple, who met during an International Congress of young business professionals in Guatemala, decided that Aruba was the ideal location for their wedding-forming a perfect triangle between Venezuela and Guatemala, and the ideal setting for an island destination wedding. The couple, along with their international wedding planners, Helen Russ and Leo Karmel, said it was an easy decision to decide which resort would host the festivities, as Westin's Catering Sales Manager Inge van Roon, was willing and capable to satisfy every wish and dream for their event and the more than 400 family and friends that would travel to the island to share in this special time.
Eight months of planning and organizing led up to the week of festivities prior to the big day. The wedding ceremony took place under a "chupa" built by Erik Eman and his team from The Entertainment Group Aruba in the middle of the resort's swimming pool. The effect of the nighttime event at the pool was a gorgeous mirage over water, leading to a breathtaking and emotional ceremony.
The wedding reception took place in both ballrooms and the elegant connecting foyer of the resort. The foyer was perfectly set up by the couple's Venezuelan decorator, John Flores, and the details of the dessert table, including more than 2000 sweets elaborated by hand by Venezuelan and Panamanian Confectioners, were decadent.
Guests entering the ballroom were greeted with live music performed by S group and DJ Oscar Leal, prompting the dance floor to fill immediately. A bountiful and extravagant feast was prepared by the Westin's culinary team, and banquet captains Lino v/d Biezen, Erick Helder, and Martin Sanchez and the entire banquet team made sure that everyone was served and treated like royalty, as requested by the couple.
Denisse and Stephan enthused that the wedding and all surrounding events surpassed everyone's expectations, and became a dream come true for them and their families.
