Recently the Aruba Marriott Resort & Stellaris Casino celebrated Global Customer Appreciation Week (GCAW), a Marriott International initiative to thank clients for their continued partnership. A part of the GCAW focuses on Marriott’s Spirit to Serve Our Communities, giving back to the local community.
To support the local food bank, Fundacion Pa Nos Comunidad (FPNC), the resort organized a 5 km fun walk from the resort to Arashi and back to the resort. Over 150 participants signed up for the fun walk including locals, Marriott associates and guests of the resort. The contribution included a T-shirt, refreshments and an eco-friendly sports bottle. After a zumba warm up provided by Denise Krosendijk-Pechacek participants headed towards Arashi Beach. After the event, door prizes were handed out including dinners at the various restaurants of the Marriott and a weekend stay at Marriott Aruba.
Marriott’s sales and events team donated the funds afterwards to the Fundacion Pa Nos Comunidad.
With the donation, FPNC is able to donate food baskets to the less fortunate families in Aruba, especially during the holiday season.
