1st annual Aruba Wine and Arts Culinary Festival debuting in May

Aruba wine,food&art festivalPALM BEACH -- Franz Sydow, director of food and beverage, released the list of wineries participating in the first annual Aruba Wine and Arts Culinary Festival, which will take place at the Wyndham Aruba Resort, Spa & Casino May 19th through the 22nd, 2005.

The festival hosting partners are the resort and Jorge Curiel on behalf of the Aruba Trading Company. In addition local food purveyors and the Aruba Gastronomic Association also take part of the festival program...

Three days of food, wine, and art will be documented by Destination Aruba and Island Temptations magazines which have already pledged press coverage of the various events. Island Temptations, under the direction of Special Projects and Public Relations Director Rona Coster, will also coordinate the lineup of talented local artists that will be showcased during the event.

The wineries will be participating in a Trade Show organized by Aruba Trading Company for local restaurants and hotels, on Friday. Those interested in participating should call ATC. The wineries will be part of an open to the public event organized by the Aruba Gastronomic Association on Saturday.

Other local participating partners include Arion Wine Company, Chez Mathilde Restaurant, Flying Fishbone restaurant, Papiamento Restaurant, Hostaria da Vittorio, the National Culinary Team of Aruba 2005, Romar Trading Company, The Wine Barrel, The Wine Club of Aruba, Playa Trading Company, Michael v/d Berg & Herdy ten Lohuis.

The first annual Aruba Wine & Arts Culinary Festival is quickly shaping up as a major attraction for visitors and locals and will include a major art exhibit, a jazz jam, the appearance of EA from Venezuela with music from the 70s, 80s and 90s, and a special tribute to Queen and the late singer Freddy Mercury.
