Exactly one year ago the soft opening of the Hang Out was celebrated by press members and friends of La Cabana All Suite Beach Resort over cocktails and snacks. Many of the island's Carnival personalities were on hand to toast the occasion. Carnival queens and timeshare sales executives mixed nicely with resort personalities and visitors from all the hotels. Supermania, a hot local dance band took the place by storm and kept it hopping till late, celebrating the arrival of the Hang Out as a casual restaurant and fun bar within La Cabana All Suite Beach Resort complex.
Thursday, a Carnival party with NBO will commemorate that happy anniversary. Thursday's party will feature popular drink prices, and a live broadcast via ATV. Friday, RIO, a sizzling Latin band will entertain and on Saturday, Definition will revisit the 70s and the 80s hit parades. It's a weekend filled with Happy Hours, says resort Food & Beverage Manager Gerry Mans. Special promotions at the Hang Out include Sunday's Sports Night, Monday's Karaoke & Garlic - strange by true, try it, before you start singing, Wednesday's Tex Mex sizzlers and Thursday's Fajitas & Margaritas. Happy Hour is religiously observed twice, from 5:30 to 6:30 and from 9 to 10 p.m. nightly. Chef Amit Sen and his crew, among the friendliest people on the island, invite you to check out the specials - they offer complete 3-course dinners, and they also reward Early Birds with an extra side order, free of charge.
