VisitAruba.com recently ran a Valentine’s campaign on Facebook in collaboration with De Palm Tours who generously offered a Sunset Cruise for two to the lucky winner.
The campaign, which ran for a week culminating on Valentine’s Day reached upwards of 6,500 people on the VisitAruba Facebook page and was shared with many more. VisitAruba asked viewers to come up with a original, heartwarming or humorous sentence to complete the words “Love is….”
Kerri Armitage was selected as the winner from numerous eligible and creative entries that were posted on our Facebook page. We would like to thank everyone for participating, there were several very creative sentences and it was quite a tough job selecting a winner!
This was Kerri’s winning entry which we feel really sums up the sentiments of many people who visit our island:
"Love is staring out of the airplane window just to get that first possible glimpse of Aruba as you arrive, feeling like you have returned home upon touch down, and sitting backwards in your seat to watch until the last possible sliver of Aruba is visible on your departure. It is getting to re-live all of your favorite memories, from family vacations to getting engaged and married on Aruba's tranquil shores, every time you visit. Love is Aruba!"
