Chris Parillo and Heather Lavell found a treasure box on the ocean floor while snorkeling at De Palm Island.
Little did Heather know that her boyfriend, with the assistance of the staff at De Palm Island, had purposely put the treasure box amongst the coral where he knew they would be snorkeling. What was to be an ordinary day of enjoying all that De Palm Island has to offer such as banana boat rides, waterslides, all-inclusive food & beverage, snorkeling and more, turned out to be a very special moment for Heather. Upon discovering the treasure box Heather was at first hesitant to pick it up. After a brief discussion Chris dove down, collected the box, brought it to shore and invited Heather to open it. When she opened the treasure box Chris pulled out an engagement ring and proceeded to propose to her. In complete shock she excitedly responded “yes” followed by tears of joy.
