Aruba's Manchebo Beach Resort & Spa completed their Green Globe re-certification under the global Certification programme

JUNE 2012, Manchebo Beach Resort & Spa successfully completed the Green Globe re-certification for a further year under the global Certification program. The global program recognizes Manchebo Beach Resort & Spa’s commitment to operating at the world’s highest environmental standard.

Manchebo Beach Resort & Spa’s chose to demonstrate their commitment to the environment by undertaking Certification - the highest level of the Green Globe program.  The Certification process for Manchebo Beach Resort involved a desktop audit certification assessment by an independent  Green Globe accredited auditor,  and reviewed by the Green Globe Director of Certification & Education.  It is required that all members conduct their yearly audits, one year on-site, one year desktop.  The successful completion of the Certification process demonstrates Manchebo Beach Resort & Spa’s strong commitment to the principles of environmental sustainability.

About the Green Globe Certification Standard:  The Green Globe Standard is a structured assessment of the sustainability performance of travel and tourism businesses and their supply chain partners. Businesses can monitor improvements and document achievements leading to certification of their enterprises’ sustainable operation and management. The Green Globe Standard  is a collection of 337 compliance indicators applied to 41 individual sustainability criteria. The applicable indicators vary by type of certification, geographical area as well as local factors. This Standard is reviewed and updated twice per calendar year. Green Globe Certification is active in harmonizing with other established sustainability certification programs around the world.
