During the live broadcast of television Nos Mainta at Taste of Belgium Restaurant, Chef Bas Kuurstra showcased how wonderful the marriage between great food and a wonderful wine can be. He demonstrated how one can easily throw together a goat cheese salad with melon and strawberries and a balsamic dressing to compliment the crisp flavor of a Silverado Vineyards Sauvignon Blanc Miller Ranch 2010; after the salad he grilled a rib eye steak to perfection, added roasted small potatoes and a mushroom pepper sauce – together with a medium robust Silverado Cabernet Sauvignon 2008 a match made in heaven.

During the coming four weeks there will be a three-course wine menu special at Taste of Belgium, featuring the outstanding Sauvignon Blanc. The price of the menu, including two glasses of Silverado Vineyards Sauvignon Blanc will be $ 49.–; the wine by the glass will be $ 9.75. See the details here!

Present during Chef Bas’ cooking demonstration was Mr. Russ Weis, general manager of Silverado Vineyards. He is on Aruba to visit Arion Wine Company and several of its major accounts. Silverado Vineyards is located in the heart of the Stag Leap District, California. The estate includes six distinctive vineyards in the Napa Valley and Carneros. The beautiful fruit from these ranches is the exclusive source of Silverado Vineyards’ Estate and Single Vineyards wines.
