The “Movemiento ta Bida” (Movement is Life) Foundation is about ready to begin the “Jani Brokke Memorial” for everyone 60 years and older and still active in sports. Even though you’re 60 or older you can still practice your favorite sport! Contrary to previous years, this year they will be organizing this activity twice during the year. The first activity is scheduled for the 11th to the 18th of May. CEDE Aruba is sponsoring this week of sports.
This year again the organizers have planned different sports activities, such as, football, softball, tennis, domino, bowling, billiard, volleyball, athletics, badminton and swimming. If someone is interested in any other sport activity not listed, contact Harold de Miranda at Tel.593-0854.
The sports activities are designed for both women and men. Hence, the organizers are appealing to women to be sure and join as well.
Prize winners will be announced and awarded on Saturday the 19th at the Eagle Club in a festive setting along with great dance music.
Harold de Miranda, one of the organizers, encourages our 60 plusses to start training to get the body in shape for the start of the activities on the 11th of May. More information and the exact schedule will be posted in the month of April.
