AIFF Executive Producer and Co-founder announced on Tuesday, March 6, that the 3Rd edition of the Aruba International Film Festival will take place June 22-28, 2012. Very special guest during the press conference at the home of the AIFF, The Cinemas in Paseo Herencia, was world-renowned DJ Chuckie, who stated he was thrilled to be a part of this outstanding event.

This year, the Festival has the honor of partnering with international music superstar DJ/ Artist/Producer Chuckie, who will be celebrating his birthday weekend by staging a concert with his world touring brand Dirty Dutch on Saturday, June 23. "We consider this a very special addition to  the opening weekend of the Film Festival," said Mr. Vieira, "and AIFF is proud to consider Chuckie as an Ambassador to the Festival Weekend Concert series, which he will also headline. This new element to the festival's social events is in line with our plan of bringing the after parties and celebrity-to-guest interaction to another level."

Chuckie, who was born Clyde Sergio Narain in Suriname, made a name as one of the most successful DJ’s and producers in Holland and beyond. His energetic mixing skills coupled with his ability to effortlessly cross over into various musical styles, along with his instinctual ability to work a crowd, has extended his popularity well beyond Europe.

Chuckie’s ‘Dirty Dutch’ branded club concept has evolved over the years from a solid urban event for 6,000 people into a massive house music night for 30,000, annually,  and consistently sells out Amsterdam’s RAI stadium in record time. Having landed a multi album artist deal with Atlantic Records in the USA, Chuckie has spent 2010 and 2011 working on his own material in the studio alongside megastars such as T-Pain, Tinie Tempah, Kesha, Alexis Jordan, P Diddy, 50 Cent, Lil Jon, and Akon.

“I have been the DJ at many A-list events, making friends with some great folks who love to dance and party to my “Dirty Dutch” sound,” confided Chuckie. “When I heard about the AIFF from some buddies, we figured it would be a terrific place to party. When I told some of my celebrity friends I was on Aruba, they thought it was great and all wanted to come down here and party with me. I have a phone full of numbers of some impressive names, so I thought now would be the time to put it to use. I look forward to having the best birthday ever while here at the AIFF. ”
