The glow of an Aruban sunset, the white sands of Eagle Beach and the crystal clear blue waters of the Atlantic Ocean created the perfect scene for the beach wedding of Lawrence, Kansas natives, Stephanie Williams and Josh Lake, at Bucuti & Tara Beach Resorts. The couple dreamed of an intimate beach ceremony with no hassle or stress and Bucuti was the perfect resort to make their dream come true.
The newlywed’s love story began over five years ago, “we met in June 2006 through mutual friends and shortly after Josh departed to Iraq for 15 months,” Stephanie explained. After staying in touch nearly every day via email throughout Josh’s deployment, the couple made the decision to move in together after his safe return.
Although Stephanie had been to Aruba before many years ago the couple choose Bucuti after being inspired by a wedding photo in a magazine. Upon contacting the resort’s wedding planner, Nashette Wouters, and doing some additional research online, they knew they had found the perfect location.
Joined by the Bride’s parents and two Aruban friends, the couple, recited the vows and received a blessing by Officiant Diane Keijzer. Following the ceremony, the group enjoyed an intimate dinner at the resort’s restaurant in celebration of the nuptials.
The newlyweds enjoyed their honeymoon at the Bucuti & Tara Beach Resorts.
