Eager fans of famous Starbucks’ coffees were lined up at Paseo Herencia Mall to start their day with their favorite addictive brew as Store Manager Shakira Finsy-Arrindell and Renaissance Resort Aruba F&B Manager John Grigg cut the ribbon on the franchise’s newest outlet on Aruba.

The stylish coffee shop has a light, breezy ambiance suited to this tropical by-the-beach location, a trademark of Starbucks, to capture the mood of the area. Noted island artist Stan Kuiperi was commissioned to create the attractive mural “The Coffee Belt” on rough brick, which occupies a full wall of the sunny store.

Free samples of Starbucks’ famous brew welcomed patrons; among them were Renaissance GM Paul Gielen, Starbuck’s Regional Manager Martha Arias and Paseo Herencia owners Alex Lovera and Dan Oduber. The mall’s General Manager, Valerie Camacho-Pietersz and Sales and Marketing Manager Candy Rasmijn were both anxious to sample food and beverages from the appealing menu and are “simply thrilled to have this prestigious vendor join our roster of fine shops and eateries.”

During the opening, Shariska “tipped her hat” to District Manager Samady Medina from Puerto Rico, who is joining the Aruba team for the next two years. It was literally a stampede of coffee, or more so, Starbucks addicts into the new store, with one of the nearby shopkeepers commenting, “I don’t really like Starbucks coffee-I LOVE Starbucks; I am thrilled they have opened this outlet here in the mall. Everyone knows where they will find me every morning from now on.”  The menu also includes a diverse selection of refreshing fruit shakes and icy fruit teas, making it a great rest and refreshment stop at any time of the day.
