Have you ever climbed the Hooiberg all the way to the top?

hooiberg1.jpgHooiberg is the second highest point on Aruba. It is a volcanic formation that stands 165 meters above sea level and is located approximately at Aruba's center. It is hard to miss this landmark which has an impressive presence that welcomes you home as you approach the airport.

One of the most enjoyable Hooiberg activities is to climb the steps to the top, and enjoy the spectacular views of Aruba. This activity can be quite exciting especially for kids. Although it may not seem that hard to climb initially, under the hot sun it can be quite a challenge. Remember to do some stretching before and after, drink plenty of water and take time resting while enjoying the view at the gazebos available on the way up.
