Aruba’s Minister of Tourism, Transport and Labor, Otmar Oduber was proud to announce the inaugural Aruba Music Explosion organized by Vicki Perez of S & E Enterprises; the three-day festival will offer a roster of popular performers to appeal to all ages of music fans.
Taking place over Thursday, Friday and Saturday, September 22, 23 and 24, the Aruba Music Explosion will also host daytime beach parties at MooMba Beach Restaurant and Bar, where fans will have the opportunity to meet the stars; seven internationally renowned performers will electrify audiences at the Piedra Plat Entertainment Center from 7:00 to 11:00 PM.
Headliners for Thursday, September 22 are Michael Bolton and the two Russells, Graham Russell guitarist and Russell Hitchcock, better known as Air Supply. This will be the second time on Aruba for the famed Australian duo, and they have already proven to local audiences the put on a fabulous show.
Friday night will feature multi-Billboard award winner Gilberto Santa Rosa, and from Puerto Rico, “The Woman of Fire,” Olga Tanon, a multi-Grammy and Latin Grammy winner known for her hot Merengue and Latin Pop hits.
Saturday’s final performance will feature Luis Fonsi, Felipe Peleaz and Servando & Florintino, the handsome balladeer Fonsi is a multi-threat award winner who writes and produces most of his work, and is a music idol to Latin people around the world. Felipe is one of the most popular performers to come out of Colombia, and some consider him the nation’s topmost songwriter. Servando and Florintino are the sons of an icon of the Venezuelan music industry, Ali Primera, also known as “The Voice of Venezuela,” and are forging their own careers, having released the album “It’s a Wrap,” in October of last year.
S & E Enterprises have been receiving bookings from travel agents all over Latin America for this exciting new event; tickets are now on sale on Aruba at Hard Rock Café, Valero Boulevard, and in the management offices on the second level of Paseo Herencia Mall. Categories of entrance are Platinum Section, table seating with bar service and a bottle of Black Label $ 220 – per person, per day ; VIP seating, $ 160 – per person, per day, and General Admission, $80 per person, per day, which is standing room only.
