Ling and Sons IGA Super center, the official IGA retailer in Aruba, is joining forces with IGA retailers across the Caribbean to take action against the growing rate of obesity in these territories by introducing the IGA Caribbean healthy challenge campaign in Aruba.
The IGA Caribbean healthy challenge focuses on physical activity aimed at encouraging people to get their move on! A challenge Ling and Sons IGA Super center is proud to present to the community of Aruba.
The IGA Caribbean Healthy Challenge campaign which was already launched simultaneously on Valentine’s Day across five Caribbean territories – Barbados, St. Lucia, Grenada, Dominica and Cayman Islands will be launched in Aruba this Saturday April 9th.
On this day customers are invited to pass by our Healthy Corner for a tasting of some of the healthy choice foods Ling and Sons IGA super center has in-store.
Tasting focused on healthy foods, will continue every Saturday for the remainder of the campaign. The campaign will run until June 5th.
During this time Ling and Sons IGA together with its campaign partners: Martijn Trading, De Veer & Sons, Romar Trading, Compra, Frasa International, Trop Bottling Company and Tec Aruba will organize several physical activities where the community of Aruba can take on the healthy challenge and “ get their move on”! A challenge, we are sure the community of Aruba will not hesitate to take on.
The activities schedule during the IGA Caribbean Healthy Challenge is the following:
- 15-17 April - In-store health checks
- 15 May, 8.00 a.m. – 9.00 a.m - Zumba
- 22 May, 14.00 p.m. – 16.00 p.m - Family Bike Tour
- 05 June, 7.30 a.m. – 8.30 a.m - Walkaton
With these activities we from Ling and Sons IGA Super center together with our other IGA retailers & campaign partners hope to inspire a lifestyle change among the community of Aruba!
