Fundacion pa nos Comunidad (Foundation for our Community) organized a fundraising. The goal of the fundraising, named Man na Curazon, was to help families in need with monthly food baskets.
The fundraising was organized on Sunday March 27th from 8 AM till 8 PM and was live broadcasted on the radio and the television. Fundacion pa nos Comunidad hoped to collect Awg 600,000 florins with the sale of t-shirts and the collection of minimum 2000 bank standing orders of 25 florins per month for a minimum of one year.
Near the end the Prime Minister Mike Eman announced that about 1075 people had completed the bank standing order form. The collected amount was raised by a one-time donation of Awg 50,000 florins from various companies. The profits of the sales of T-shirts are not included yet.
