Westin Resort Aruba hosts Youth Art Exhibit 2010

PALM BEACH - This past Saturday, some of the island's talented budding artists had the chance to display their works during the Youth Art Exhibit 2010.  The event took place in the Westin's Starwood Art Gallery, where some 61 works of art were displayed.

The exhibit showcases the artwork of 31 students created under the guidance of their art instructor, Miriam de l'Isle.  Featured were "self portraits," "portraits of my family and friends," and "portraits inspired by Picasso."  

This was the 5th annual exhibit organized by Miriam, and works will be on display in the Starwood Gallery at the Westin through May11th.  On May 8th, an art auction will be held, with proceeds going towards the purchase of a dozen art easels and supplies for the children.

Saturday's opening was a huge success, with the largest turnout to date for an art opening at the gallery.
