At the Aruba Marriott Resort & Stellaris Casino, Gina de Simone & Michael Novia united as one as they held their traditional Kunuku wedding ceremony and cocktail event on Marriott’s Tradewinds Beach. “To us, 09-09-09 is such a unique date as it will not occur for another 100 years, that’s why we choose for this date”, Michael Novia explained. The newly weds are loyal visitors to the island and the Aruba Marriott. With their wedding proposal taking place last February on Marriott’s beach and a perfect blessing ceremony on September 9, 2009, this special date will contribute to the beautiful memories Gina and Michael cherish for Aruba.
Another special event took place at the resort’s Stellaris Casino. A special promotion “9-9-09 Wednesday’s Stellaris gone wild” gave guests a chance to win over $999.99 in cash prizes plus additional $699.99 in cash prizes. Live entertainment was provided by the Venus band with a happy hour event from 9pm – 11pm.
In addition, Marriott’s food & beverage outlets offered their cocktails of the day for the price of $9.99. Champions Sports Bar & Restaurant took it a step further and re-introduced its special of the day Sirloin steak for only $9.99. This promotion will continue Mondays to Fridays and is available from 11 am – 7 pm.
