The W CBS radio crew from New York: Brian Niemi, Dan Taylor and Chris Tobin. |
PALM BEACH, ARUBA (AUGUST 10, 2009) – A crew of 3 radio professionals from New York arrived in Aruba on Sunday August 9 for a 3-day live radio broadcast from the Aruba Marriott, daily from 6-10 am. Radio host Dan Taylor, program director Brian Niemi and radio technician Chris Tobin are the team behind the highly popular W-CBS 101.1 FM Dan Taylor Morning Show in the New York area, 5 days a week, attracting a whopping 4.4 million listeners each week. The live shows from the Aruba Marriott's Waves Beach Bar are held on August 10, 11 and 12.
That this morning show is rather popular was obvious as Marriott guests came out early in the morning to greet the radio crew and reporting out to ‘the folks back home’ about their vacation in Aruba. Just like Bruce & Terry King, loyal visitors to the island and repeat guests of the Aruba Marriott, who are enjoying their vacation for the 10th consecutive year and heard that the radio station from New York was broadcasting from the hotel.

The crew went on an island tour on Sunday afternoon, had some local Balashi beers at café “080” in Noord and enjoyed a welcome dinner in Simply Fish on the beach at the Aruba Marriott. On Monday afternoon the crew will explore more rugged terrain on the north coast of the island in Tom Cars, followed by a golf clinic at the 18-hole golf course Tierra del Sol on Tuesday afternoon.
Guests and visitors to Aruba who have friends and family in the New York area and wish to stop by and say hello are invited to do so. The radio crew can be found on the beach, in front of the Marriott hotel, at Waves Beach Bar & grill from 6-10 am on Tuesday August 11 and Wednesday August 12. The show can also be listened to live online at http://wcbsfm.com just click “listen live” between 6-10 am.
Designated among the “World’s Best Places to Stay” by Conde Nast Traveler’s 2006 Gold List, Aruba Marriott Resort & Stellaris Casino boasts 411 fully renovated guestrooms – the most spacious on the island – each with large, private balconies overlooking the sparkling waters of the Caribbean Sea.
