Aruba’s Bibliotica Nacional has announced their summer schedule of programs for the children and families. Daily from 3:00pm to 4:00pm, Monday thru Friday the libraries in both Oranjestad and San Nicolas offer group reading and informative demonstrations with guest lecturers, this year focusing on the island’s natural environment of Arikok National Park. The four week series began yesterday and will include handicrafts and final party for all participating children and their parents, including a talent show by the youngsters.
Library programs are always free of charge, and are aimed at instilling awareness among island youth and of the arts, environment and a love of reading. The program not only inform and entertain, but build a foundation for the future accomplishments as they teach children how to be good students and citizens and avid readers.
Kids who attend these programs have a lot a fun while learning interesting things about the island’s flora and fauna and culture.
